HostsMan - edit your system HOSTS file with ease
If you are an advanced computer user, then you are probably aware with the HOSTS file included in Windows. This file allows linking IP addresses with DNS servers and it's important to have it configured correctly, in order for the web browser to work properly. The problem is that some viruses or spyware try to alter this file and add dangerous links. As such, when a user will try to access a safe web site, he will actually be redirected to a dangerous one, which includes viruses.
Editing the HOSTS file manually seems like a difficult and annoying process, which is only available to the most advanced and experienced computer users. Fortunately, there are certain Windows applications which allow you to edit the HOSTS file with ease and verify its integrity. I am talking about the HostsMan application.
After launching the program, the user will notice that the interface makes it easy to open the system HOSTS file and edit it. The file can be edited either directly in the program's interface or in Notepad.
